Accessibility Statement
The Help Freedom Fly website, created by Linda Smeck, is committed to making this space welcoming and usable for everyone, including visitors with disabilities.

Our Commitment
This commitment is guided by both common-sense inclusivity and applicable laws, including:

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

  • The Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act (CADA) (C.R.S. 24-34-601)

  • Colorado House Bill 21-1110

While some of these laws primarily apply to government websites, we choose to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards so that all visitors can access and enjoy the site.

Our Accessibility Goals
We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance across all pages and downloadable materials. In practical terms, this means:

  • The site works with screen readers and keyboard navigation

  • Text is clear and readable with sufficient contrast

  • Headings and links follow a logical structure

  • Images include descriptive alternative text when needed

  • Downloadable materials (such as activity sheets) are designed with accessibility in mind

Ongoing Efforts
To support accessibility, we:

  • Design pages with accessibility in mind from the start

  • Review content periodically to identify and improve issues

  • Continue improving downloadable resources to ensure usability

Known Limitations
Some downloadable materials or older content may not yet meet full accessibility standards. We are working to improve these over time.
If you need a specific resource in a more accessible format, please reach out and we will prioritize it.

Feedback & Contact
If you experience any difficulty accessing content on this site, we would like to hear from you.
Please contact: info@lindasmeck.com
If possible, include:

  • The page or resource you were trying to access

  • A description of the issue

We aim to respond within a few business days and resolve issues as quickly as possible.
Continuous Improvement.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We are committed to improving this site over time and updating this statement as needed.
